Dual-enrollment courses are a great way for high school juniors and seniors to get a jump start on their college education. By attending courses taught by a Milligan professor, students earn high school and college credit simultaneously. Credits are transferable to the college of your choice.

COST & SCHOLARSHIP
The charge for dual enrollment courses is $500 per class, up to 3 classes per semester; any additional classes are billed at the traditional undergraduate tuition rate. All course fees apply. Tennessee residents may be able to take a course at no cost with a Tennessee Lottery Dual Enrollment Grant. The Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant is available for up to $500 for each of the first two courses and up to $200 for the third course. The grant is available for a lifetime total of $1,200. SPECIAL BENEFITS TO YOU
As a dual-enrollment student, you will enjoy the same privileges as all other Milligan students during the semester(s) you are enrolled. You may check out library material (including books, DVDs, and CDs), access online databases both in the library and off-campus (using your Milligan ID), and request materials from other libraries all over the world through interlibrary loan. Our library staff is knowledgeable, engaged, and ready to help you from 8 AM until 10 PM most weeknights. You can even chat with a librarian live through our library webpage!
Milligan’s two libraries, P. H. Welshimer Library and Seminary Library offer a welcoming atmosphere with both individual and group study spaces, friendly staff, and excellent resources. The library is also a great place to hang out while you study—we’re open until midnight five nights a week and every Saturday and Sunday during the semester, and we’ve got coffee, tea, soft drinks, and snacks available for purchase. Dining & Food Services
Dual Enrollment Students may eat in Milligan’s Dining Hall (Sutton Hall) or Grill (Student Center) during regular hours. Food services are provided by Pioneer College Caterers. For more information, contact the Business Office. For a schedule of hours and rates, click here.
Campus Events & Athletic Events
Many college-sponsored events are free to Milligan students with a valid Milligan ID, including regular season home athletic events. Milligan has a proud heritage of top student-athletes participating in competitive intercollegiate athletics. Registration & Check-in
Contact the Registrar’s Office at 423.461.8729 to register for classes as soon as you are admitted. You will need to come to registration at the beginning of the semester you enroll. There, you can get your Student ID, parking sticker, college network and email access, and final details on student accounts and financial aid.
Join us for a drop-in student and parent reception to learn more about Dual Enrollment opportunities at Milligan. Our next reception will be Tuesday, May 23, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Little Hartland Welcome Center at Milligan. Talk to admissions staff, current dual enrollment students, enjoy light refreshments and a campus tour. We’ll talk through the dual enrollment process and answer any questions. We will have applications and the Fall schedule on hand in case anyone wants to fill out an application while here.
